Dive into the World of Focal Points in Cinematic Action Storyboarding, and let's explore together the various elements we use to captivate the attention of the audience.

NEGATIVE &POSITIVE SPACE

Join me on this tutorial about negative and positive space in cinematic storyboarding! Balancing these elements is vital for captivating compositions and enhancing storytelling skills.

MOVE THE CAMERA WITH PURPOSE

Every camera move should communicate something.
A pan, push, tilt, or tracking shot isn’t just movement  it’s storytelling.

Move the camera to reveal information, shift emotion, control tension, or guide the audience’s attention.
If the shot works without the movement, ask yourself why the camera is moving at all.

Intentional movement creates cinematic clarity.

WHAT IS THE CHARACTER THINKING

Every shot should reflect the character’s internal state.
Before designing a scene, ask yourself: what is the character thinking in this moment?

Their emotions, intentions, and thoughts should influence the composition, camera, staging, and pacing.
Strong visual storytelling is not just about what the audience sees  it’s about what the character feels.
