Alejandra Sofia Wiechers Nandin is a talented Storyboard Supervisor and filmmaker who began her journey at a young age. She produced her first short film at 16, which earned recognition in a Latin American animation contest. Her passion for animation led her to study Animation, Digital Arts, and Multimedia at Universidad del Valle de Atemajac. During her college years, she won first place in the SOLACYT animation contest in Latin America and second place worldwide for another short film created with Toon Boom.

Alejandra's dedication extended to her thesis, where she produced animated videos on personal defense for women in Jalisco, donating them to nonprofit women's associations. Following her success, she joined Shanghai-based animation company Crash Down Studios, rapidly advancing from a junior to a senior animator. In her spare time, she created a short film that was selected for the Cannes Film Festival, which subsequently led her to attend to the red carpet of the event allowing her to network and share her future projects.

She also became a Wacom brand ambassador and taught animation at La Marista University, successfully transitioning the program from Adobe Flash to Toon Boom. Alejandra later became Toon Boom Mexico's brand ambassador, advocating for the program's capabilities.

In 2018, she received an honorary membership as the youngest representative on the board of directors of the Jalisco Institute of Information and Technology. Alejandra continued her career as a storyboard artist at Rainmaker-Mainframe Studios in Vancouver, British Columbia, promoting Toon Boom's Storyboard Pro. She created tutorial videos to facilitate the learning process.

Alejandra became the fastest Latin American to complete certification in Toon Boom Harmony, conducting official webinars in Spanish. Her career then led her to work as a storyboard artist for Dreamworks Animation's "Megamind: The Animated Series" and "The Dragon Prince," fulfilling her dream of working on a show reminiscent of "Avatar: The Last Airbender."

She was involved in crafting action sequences and pivotal moments within the concluding episodes of the show on "The Dragon Prince" and her contributions garnered praise from the show's creators.

Presently, Alejandra is a Storyboard Supervisor for an upcoming Netflix series. She has introduced a new pipeline with AAF exchange between Avid and Storyboard Pro and fosters team spirit, tools, and workflow improvements. She also created a code for Storyboard Pro to streamline tasks that used to take hours into mere seconds with the press of a button. Alejandra's career continues to thrive in the world of animation and storytelling.
